I am very aware of my rituals and yes, they bring me some comfort in a time of great uncertainty.
We all have rituals, even if we don't think of them as such. Because they are, as
anthropologist Roy Rappaport once said, "humanity's basic act" ...
Once you're aware of that it gets easier to devise new rituals!
My favorite daily rituals:
- my green tea making in the morning (in a Japanese iron teapot)
- take that tea with me to my morning meditation
- my mid day/afternoon 1hr walk in nature, to give work a break, move, refresh my thoughts
